World Book Day

Local MP, John Bercow visited Roundwood Primary School in Gawcott and Winslow CofE School and this week on World Book Day. At Winslow he met Year 6 pupils dressed as characters from some of their favourite books.

John talked to pupils at both schools about his work in Parliament and his unique perspective from the Speaker’s Chair. The pupils asked questions on John’s favourite books and on Parliament – and even Brexit.

Speaking afterwards he said: “It was a delight to talk to the pupils in Winslow and to answer their questions. I am always impressed by the range and detail of the questions children ask.”
