John Bercow MP has joined with other Buckinghamshire MPs to call for all those affected or concerned about the Government’s High Speed 2 proposals to make a submission to the consultation over the recently announced compensation package.

Buckingham MP and Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow, has completed a 200 length (or 5km) swimming challenge as part of the charity Brain Tumour Research’s autumn Conquer it Together campaign and has to date raised nearly £3,000.

Local MP, John Bercow, took part in a Q&A session on ‘Being and Feeling Safe in Buckingham’ with Year 10 students from the Buckingham School and the Royal Latin School.

John Bercow joined Tesco, Buckingham store manager Malcolm Collins to present Tesco for Schools & Clubs equipment to teachers and pupils from local schools. The schools receiving equipment were Buckingham Primary School, Grenville Combined School, Padbury First School and Maids Moreton C E First School.

On Monday 1st October, John Bercow presented Duke of Edinburgh Silver Awards to eight students of Furze Down School at a presentation held in the State Rooms at Speaker’s House.

On Friday evening 28th September John Bercow MP visited the Scouts of the 3rd Buckingham Scout Group at their weekly Scout Meeting.

John Bercow attended a “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” event at Granborough Village Hall on Friday 28th September where they raised an impressive £900 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Community meals recipients in Buckingham received a special delivery from House of Commons Speaker John Bercow MP on 28 September 2012, as part of Meals on Wheels supplier apetito’s UK-wide celebrations to mark National Community Meals Week.
