Aylesbury Vale District Council is at present consulting on its draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD). This is likely to have a significant impact on the future development of Newton Longville.

John recently met with the Save Our Village Campaign, and with Newton Longville Parish Council, to discuss the impact of development on the character of Newton Longville and the life of the community. He has since written to Aylesbury Vale District Council to express his full support for its submission to the SPD.

John said, “The Save Our Village campaign has raised a number of extremely important points about the proposed development of Newton Longville. AVDC must now answer its serious points about, most notably, the timetabling of the Newton Longville development only after full development of Milton Keynes has taken place, the need for the necessary infrastructure to support an extra 5,390 dwellings to be provided upfront, and restrictions on the number of new houses.

I will continue to give my support to the Newton Longville Save Our Village Campaign. My priority is to help in any way I can and to get the best possible deal for Newton Longville.”
