John was pleased to visit this new charity that works in partnership with researchers from the Buckinghamshire Hospitals NHS Trust and Amerderm Research Trust to train specialist dogs to detect the odour of human diseases, including cancer and diabetes.

John said, “I was pleased to see Cancer Dogs’ premises in Westcott. This is fascinating work and, whilst the training of dogs to recognise human cancer by its smell is in its infancy, it has the potential to make an important contribution to fighting cancer. I am thrilled that such ground-breaking work is being carried out in the Buckingham Constituency.”
