MP supports Relay for Life 2012 launch

John Bercow joined Buckingham Relay Chair Lionel Weston at a stall in the Market Place, Buckingham on Saturday 12th November to recruit local teams for the 2012 Cancer Research UK Relay for Life.

The Relay for Life (16th/17th June 2012) is a an opportunity like no other to celebrate the lives of those touched by cancer, grieve for those who have been lost and raise money to support the life saving research of Cancer Research UK.

Relay itself is a 24 hour overnight event in which teams of family friends or colleagues take turns in walking round a track keeping someone on the track at all times---because cancer never sleeps. When not walking, teams can enjoy a picnic, play games or take advantage of a wide range of entertainments, such as music and dance performances and sporting activities.

The event takes place at Bourton Meadow School and is open to anyone in the community.

Contact Lionel Weston 01280 816413 lionelweston@yahoo.co.uk for more details.

Cancer Research UK is the world's leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research.
