MP unveils village sign at Dagnall
On Saturday 3rd December, local MP, John Bercow, unveiled the new village sign and circular seat at Dagnall and then opened the Christmas Fayre.
The seat and sign are part of the EDaN (Edlesborough, Dagnall and Northall) Beautification project led by Christine Yates and Kathy Bovington. The sign was designed by Megal Howell and funded by the project team's fundraising efforts.
The seat was dedicated to the memory of villagers Anne Thompson and Michael Price and planters at the roundabout were dedicated to Anne Thompson.
Christmas carols were sung by the Dagnall Community Choir and a fruit punch was provided by Ali and Steve at the Red Lion.
John Bercow said:
"I am delighted to have been invited to unveil this sign and seat. It is a spectacular location with views over the Downs and is a very beautiful part of my constituency.
"I pay tribute to all those who have worked on this impressive project."
