John Bercow has welcomed the latest report on the South Central Ambulance Service’s programme of transformational change. The report, entitled Towards Excellence, shows that the Service has achieved an 18.8% improvement on the A8 target – 75% of life-threatening calls being attended within 8 minutes – since last year, up 72.44% from 60.99% in 2007-08.

John said, “I am pleased to read that the Service is reaching patients faster than ever. This is excellent news. The Ambulance Service’s staff does a tough job and I applaud their efforts.”
