John will tonight attend the public meeting at Buckingham Community Centre to discuss the new GP contract introduced at Buckingham Hospital by the local Primary Care Trust.

John will join members of the Buckingham Hospital and North Bucks Action Group and local residents who will put their points to representatives of the PCT.

John said, “The Buckingham Hospital is a precious facility for local people. I am very concerned about the new contract which seems to me to fly in the face of the PCT’s commitment to patient care. I am extremely worried about the process by which the new contract was introduced and which left local people, particularly local GPs, out of the loop. I welcome the opportunity to put these points to the PCT and I hope that we can find a way forward.”
